I was born seven years before that man, and I don't think I'm aging particularly gracefully but I think he looks older than I do lol

oof. none of these are bad, or anywhere close, but the road to this top eight is positively littered with songs i like more than them

November 13: Steve Reich - Six Pianos & Terry Riley - Keyboard Study #1 (2016)

Really interesting to hear these back to back! Love both, but today I am feeling more like a Riley guy.

November 12: Snocaps - Snocaps (2025)

I am not super familiar with either of the Crutchfield's work (a bit of Waxahatchee recently aside), so I can't really compare this to their oeuvres, but it does seem real good to me.

November 11: Tacoma Park - Glosson Circle Sessions (2025)

More beautiful stuff from the Carrboro improv duo. Comes with your choice of cassette tape, zine, album-length video (the last if you get any of the physical stuff). Process notes on bandcamp are actually interesting, too.

November 10: Charlemagne Palestine - DINGGGDONGGGDINGGG VS SINGGGSONGGSINGGG (2018)

"to our knowledge- the first voise/carillon record in musical history" To mine too! And yet the feel is pretty close to other Charlemagne Palestine records I've enjoyed.

November 9: Other Victorians - Los Angeles Sessions (2025)

Duo, not solo guitar, and very different in vibe from yesterday's, but similarly excellent. "disciplined intoxication" is the description on their bandcamp, and it feels apt.

I truly thought I had heard most of the major slang terms for pot before this one

i'm still pretty sure the almost-CDR version of Secaucus I bought at a Wrens show from the band just had a typo on the back, but i also still wish the song was actually called "Won't Get To Far"

As a smaller account, it's never really been hard or time consuming to manually block the shitty accounts I see, so I've just never used them. Doesn't seem worth the trouble.
