"Product of Canada" is the most exclusive label, indicating a high degree of Canadian origin, while "Made in Canada" allows for some imported content with a qualifying statement. "Prepared in Canada" is less specific and doesn't guarantee a significant level of Canadian origin. Prepared in Canada: • Vague and less regulated: This term has no strict legal definition and is primarily used for marketing purposes. It generally implies that some processing or packaging of the product occurred in Canada, but it doesn't provide much information about the origin of ingredients or components. Product of Canada: Strictest standard: This label signifies that all or virtually all (at least 98%) of the ingredients, components, processing, and labor used to make the product are Canadian.
