Arcade games, lock picking, speed cubing, movie reviews, I'm "a little better than average" at a lot of dumb stuff.

Love to hate my least favorite sports teams. I watched the Simpsons when it originally aired

Our house _also_ has an EZ bake electric that the previous owner probably got at Costco. :-)

Thankfully, I've got a friend with a gas oven and I do most of my baking there.

Mer-Man was my favorite action figure ever- even if his sword was a corncob and his little comic was about him stealing He-man's bike. :-)

Pre-ACA, my family did the individualized browsing route, and ended up picking a concierge health care service plus a catastrophic plan, and that worked pretty well, but post ACA the concierge model went away.

Airline tickets are pretty individualized. If I want to go to Denver, it doesn't really matter if I go alone or take six people.

Health insurance is about risk pooling.

Forty people can get a better deal than four can. Four hundred do even better...

There's a school of thought that shopping for insurance should be like shopping for airline tickets.

You'd open a web browser, put some information in, and then balance cost vs benefits (maybe you're okay with a high deductible plan because the premiums are lower).

Gosh that sounds cool. Heck, I liked Renegade when that was in arcades. 4 player co-op beat em up loosely based on Xenophon's Ten Thousand?

My teenagers did a pretty good job understanding what might be a problem with a 50 year mortgage.

Looks like after the president found this "one weird trick," (hey! If someone sues DOJ, I can just order them to settle!) he's trying to roll it out to friendly Congress critters.

New tiers of corruption.
