Gedenktafel aus dem Jahr 1966 an der Neuen Synagoge in Berlin-Mitte, eingeweiht im Jahr 1866.
Das Foto zeigt eine der beiden Gedenktafeln an der Neuen Synagoge bzw. dem heutigen "Centrum Judaicum" in Berlin-Mitte, darauf die folgende Inschrift: "5. September 1866 - 5. September 1966. Diese Synagoge ist 100 Jahre alt und wurde am 9. November 1938 in der Kristallnacht von den Nazis in Brand gesteckt. Während des II. Weltkrieges 1939 - 1945 wurde sie im Jahre 1943 durch Bombenangriffe zerstört. Die Vorderfront dieses Gotteshauses soll für alle Zeiten eine Stätte der Mahnung und Erinnerung bleiben. Vergesst es nie. Jüdische Gemeinde von Groß-Berlin - Der Vorstand - September 1966". Die Tafel ist schwarz, die Inschrift hat eine goldene Farbe, an den Bildrändern ist das Portal des Gotteshauses zu erahnen.

Yesterday, I took advantage of a few dry, sunnier moments to take pics in the garden. The leaves are now glowing in beautiful shades of yellow and red, and funny little mushrooms have sprung up in a flower pot.
Sloe and chrysanthemum add some additional splashes of colour.

The fascinating #Bauhaus windows designed by Josef Albers at the Grassi Museum in #Leipzig. Originally installed in 1927, they were destroyed during the Second World War and finally reconstructed in 2011.
