TIL how to spell 'rhinoceros'. I've been spelling it 'rhinocerous' all this time because of the rhinocerous/preposterous couplet. Now they both look wrong, thanks Redactle.

I'm looking at menus of places for a special dinner, and seeing a whole lot of tallow candles, activated nuts, meat parfaits, and the replacement of 'house-made' with 'bespoke'. Bespoke butter. Sigh.

A DVD in the superdrive wouldn't mount or eject. I needed a USB port to connect a mouse for the more annoying solutions, so ejected the external hard drive ... and the DVD ejected as well. What is happening with the ports??

A famous person has died and there's an outpouring of love and grief for them, but I couldn't stand a moment of their professional career and have serious questions about some of their personal choices. Also they had a good innings. Am feeling a great disconnect with the zeitgeist right now.

Dealing with Vitamin B12 situation rendered quite complex by me constantly calling it Vitamin K12. I can SEE the medical people thinking "ruh roh, cognitive decline incoming!"

The chemo and meds side effects fatigue has been joined by vitamin B12 deficiency fatigue. I'm not sure if I want supplements/injections, or to use it as an excuse to just stay in bed forever.

Am reading Robert Caro's 'The Power Broker', attempt #5 in 10 years, on page 1,380, 2,000 pages remain.
The rule is I can't read anything else until I've finished! This has sustained me 1,000 pages longer than previous attempts, but I'm flagging.
