Yeah I agree with you there. Americans need to reckon with race,gender and class even though those are hard conversations. We all do in the west but especially the US. Doing nothing to stop evil is only marginally better than supporting it

I know it's more complicated than the binary but most of us are identified as something and there are aspects that can't really change. For me making peace with that is an important part of moving on and accepting the need to transition. Point is it isn't a limit or something to be hated

I separate sex and gender in my mind. "Male" is sex- how my physical body was "assigned" when I was born. Nothing will change that but it shouldn't dictate how I have to live my life either or my identity. Biology is also to some degree mutable.

I think they mean different things to different people. To me male is just talking about your body it doesn't mean being a man or having to live as one (and of course we change our body to be more in line with what we want). I respect your point of view though.

Yeah I think trans people are an example of important parts of the socialization "not working" on some ppl. I think the 70s radfems were more trying to look at it as how culture impacts our views of gender in subtle but powerful ways which is very important but it went off the rails.
