The South is home to the most LGBTQ people in the US. When you shit on the South, you're contributing to a long legacy of marginalization and oppression. The South is home to some of the most badass people, wonderful food, diverse culture, and folks who are highly skilled and super funny.

As you're attending a No Kings or other rally, remember to save signs and keep history! We have a handy zine that tells you how you can archive a protest.

Remember to save your signs (and any others you find thrown away) from both protests and counter protests. Your local archive would LOVE to have them (and if you're in the South we would love to have them). Make sure history remembers!

Read @carantes.bsky.social‘s newsletter for some heartening advice on the spectrum of roles in antifascist organising, further great advice from @invisiblehistories.bsky.social, and an upcoming talk on medieval chivalry and Far Right masculinities by @menysnoweballes.bsky.social. Then follow them!
Need a late-night read? Or maybe late-afternoon… or mid-morning… Ya know what, time zones are annoying! The latest Carantes newsletter is out on our website! We look forward to Dr Rachel Moss's (@menysnoweballes.bsky.social) talk next month, details in the newsletter!

April Fool's from the April 1996 issue of the Mississippi Voice. The photo shows Russian president Boris Yeltsin and Defense Minister Pavel Grachev as if they might *kiss* the caption reads: Boris Yeltsin comes out at an awards ceremony in Moscow, surprising his lover of 18 years. April FOOLS!
