Indeed.
Friendship and trust are the result of conversations.
Thinking about technology’s impact on our ability to engage with each other. It reminded me of this drawing my daughter did when she was four, which is still one of the most profound and simple things I’ve seen.

Friendship and trust are the result of conversations.

Surprised?
Recent studies have found that those who use large language models like ChatGPT tend to converge around common words and ideas. @chaykak.bsky.social reports on A.I.’s homogenizing effect on writing.
A.I. Is Homogenizing Our Thoughts
Recent studies suggest that tools such as ChatGPT make our brains less active and our writing less original.

Important piece. I shouldn't have to try to convince clients about the need to get past transactional communication as a fast-growing norm.
‘In an era in which AI is being proposed to do many human jobs, it takes a human to bear effective witness to humanity‘

Our crisis is not loneliness but human beings becoming invisible. When people are no longer seen, heard, or valued, isolation becomes a symptom, not the cause buff.ly/OMjFW3i

This week chaotic federal immigration sweeps occurred in fields across CA-including Ventura, Kern & Tulare counties. You may have seen videos of agents chasing farm workers thru the field. Workers are terrorized.

I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff
