Layabout and bus passenger. Doesn't fix typos.
Just sitting waiting for my MP @graemedowniemp.bsky.social to post a statement on the government's immigration proposals so that I can decide whether to vote for him and his party again.

I don't pay much attention to him but when I do I can't help wondering, is Ian Leslie wrong about *everything*?

If you can't manage it in 200 pages or fewer just don't bother.
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat

Come on @jameschalmers.bsky.social have you thought that? Have you?
Given that the Crown prosecutors have to “prove” their case, the only appropriate verdicts are “proven” and “not proven”.

Can't think of anything more humiliating than falling off your bike in your own driveway after crashing into a wheelie bin. Thankfully it was some other guy and not me. Definitely not me.

I have no interest in broadening my social circle to incorporate a token racist. I think the thing about my behaviour that would stop a former friend coming out as a racist would be my refusal to stop berating them about their new-found racism. Is that the right answer?
It's got to the stage where if 'you don't know anyone whose voting for Reform' you need to broaden your social circle.

Or, perhaps, reflect on what it is about your behaviour that means your friends don't feel able to be open with you about politics.

When I had my brewery I cooled new beer using cold water run through a heat exchanger. That water was still clean so I saved it and used it to make the next batch of beer. I want to know why data centres can't make endless use the same water.

Special organs blossoming into in full-time regular use? The notice is as weird as the dude with the orange cannon.

If I wasn’t already retired I’d seriously consider semi-retirement in a small Highland community hiring bikes to tourists. And Nick’s a great guy who will help you out. www.facebook.com/share/p/19bw...

The best part is, "your favorite president, ME,".
I think Trump is missing Murdoch’s classic move here. He lets what they have solidly get published, even if it seems small. Then Trump emotionally sues (see below) and discovery begins and everything is fair game. He’ll be forced to testify & all manner of files will be unveiled and chewed over.

What's the science behind having an overwhelming urge to eat too much toast and doom scroll after speaking to HMRC?

When I was perpetrating my significant fraud and disappearance, I too wrote it all down, published it and then co-produced a successful film. Foolproof.

I think a new left wing party with a charismatic leader could do very well. They do have a charismatic leader, don't they?

So today I learned that my knee is fixed to the extent that I can ride my analogue bike on the same route to the paper shop and back as fast (which isn't very) as I can on my electric, with no ill effects. Happy about that.
