I stayed in Woking (lots of reasonable hotel and pre-party restaurant options), and had Korean food before the party and then this morning, a superb fry-up at a greasy spoon.

I'm home from my annual trip back to Surrey, for a mate's birthday party. There's a theme each year. This year was "Somethone/thing beginning with the first letter of your name". Rather than go as an M&M I went as Eminem. My buddy was "John McClane" from Die Hard.

Since my trusty #iPhone 15 Pro Max has decided it can no longer hold a USB-C cable in its port (I tried clearing it out of any pocket lint etc, before you ask), I’ve switched up to the new 17 Pro Max.
I stuck with the blue because the orange version is “a bit much”. Data transfer now complete.

A classic Saturday dinner - made mini-meatballs from chipolata sausages, added to a rich red wine sauce, pancetta cubes, a tone of garlic and flat leaf parsley.
Now off out but not boozing- two nights in a row now. Hopefully get a beer when I’m home.
