Do you genuinely believe there’s a material enough number of them to make a difference? That disillusionment needs also to convert into action. Feels like a small subset of a small subset.

Yeah the humidity benefits? Hadn’t considered. To be clear I wasn’t sharing to one up or contradict the research you shared, just cool to me (pun intended) that what I observed at the individual level can be quantified at the city level.

BTW my methodology/algorithm to spot these things is fairly crude: I parse the EnergyStar dataset and look at who the "ENERGY STAR Partner" is for a given "Outdoor Unit Brand Name." That "Partner" is always the OEM. Then I look at models with the exact same specs/performance from that Partner.

Not remembering all details from that research but I believe ACiQ white labels from both Carrier and their parent company, Brock Air Products, which appears to have multiple other brands (MRCOOL perhaps the best known). Oddly it seems they use Carrier both on the high and low end of performance.
