Unbound comic 420 - Panel #1: Leaf slouched on the counter, "Man... Today is miserable." Rain is hitting the window. Galley is lazily stationed behind Leaf. Panel #2: "Guys! I found this book on OPTIMISM!" The annoying mouse explodes out of nowhere. Panel #3: The mouse looks lovingly out the window with admiration in his eyes. The rain still as miserable as ever. "WOW! RAIN!? Isn't mother nature amazing?" He squeals. Panel #4: Leaf and Galley glare menacingly at the annoying mouse. He stand with his arms out waiting for applause. Panel #4: The mouse is locked outside the library in the rain.

Unbound comic 208 - Panel #1 Medium porcupine, "Do you guys ever use the fireplace in the winter?" Leaf, "We use it year-round." Panel#2: camera pans out. Porcupine baffled, "What?" Panel #3: A book suddenly shoots down the chimney into the open fireplace, "SHUUUUNK!" Panel #4: The camera pans back further to reveal a sign above the fireplace. "Caution: Book-Drop." Leaf, "Birds, man."

Thank you guys for showing this comic so much love yesterday! I know process isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I love it! So here's the behind the scenes stuff that made this comic happen.
I drew the grim reaper image first and wrote a comic around it. I used this image in One Piece as inspiration.

Unbound 419 - Panel #1: Tall Porcupine, "I'm late with a library book... ...again." Mouse, walking with porcupine on the sidewalk, "So? It'll be fine!" Panel #2: I just get this weird feeling... ...like they hate me." Mouse in reply, "They're librarians!" Panel #3: "Mouse finishing his thought now in library, "Who's ever heard of a MEAN librarian?" In the background, Galley is seen floating in midair. A tattered Grim-reaper cloak billows around her. She wields a massive scythe. Leaf is off to the side looking on shock.

Just watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) It has to be one of the okay-est movies ever. It's not remarkable, but there's nothing wrong with it. I laughed several times and the vampire pageantry was self-aware and fun.

I will have to check that out. I don't know if this is in print anymore, but this master forger wrote about his entire process. He also wrote a biography. The cherry on top is he died under mysterious circumstances after he came clean.

Unbound 206 - Panel #1: Tab stands in the middle of a bunch of book shelves. He is thinking. "Hmm..." Panel #2: Tab, "Leaf, you had a section on plants and animals. Where did that go?" Leaf, "Oh, you just missed it, Tab..." Panel #3: Tab and Leaf both outside the library. They look onward toward the sunset sky. Leaf, "It flew south for the winter." Books are seen flying like birds in the sky.

Panel #2: "In 1900 you could buy twenty pounds of oyster crackers with $1." Panel #3: "OR you could buy seventy pounds of potatoes!" Panel: #4: "Now a dollar is worth about 1/3rd of that meaning it has the buying power of only THREE CENTS today!" Panel 5: "Do you now understand how worthless this fine is for the both of us?" The porcupine replies, "Here, take two."

People just do not realize how important a service libraries provide by merely existing. Being a public, free space and having AC during the Summer is life changing for lots of folks. Ditto for heat during the winter. #comics
Unbound 202 - Panel #1: Tab and the small porcupine are out for a walk together. Sweat drips down the both of them. Tab, "There's no air at my house. I can't wait to visit the library. Panel #2: Leaf and Galley appear to be leaving the library early. "Tab, "W-Where are you guys going?" Leaf, "The air conditioner broke. Then the power went out. Galley, "We had to close early." Panel #3: Tab and his friend stand together in stunned silence. Panel #4: Little Porcupine, "It's no Shakespeare, but this salisbury steak is fascinating." They are now in a frozen food aisle at a grocery store. Tab opens one of the freezer doors with a smile on his face as he is blasted with cold air.

For some reason it felt like the power went out all the time as a kid. Maybe that's my brain misremembering because it always felt like such a big event. #comics

Panel #4: Pitch blackness inside the library now. All you can see are Galley and Leaf's expressive eyes. Leaf, "See?"
