My solution: cut a hole in a frisbee and stick it on top of the feeder so there’s enough barrier the squirrel can’t reach. And if it sits on the frisbee to try and hang from that, the spring mechanism engages and closes the feeder. I want to see it try. For science 🪶. 3/3

Some birbs from this morning. Scrub jay, finches, a starling and one furry bastard who was getting a drink instead of raiding the feeder like usual. 🪶

Kiddo heard a thump and screeching through the fireplace, and thought a bird got trapped in it. Nope, just a great horned owl that looked like it was eating something. Flew off and came back a couple of times. Nighttime picture made better by @stoutheartstudio.com editing 🪶

A chickadee was convinced the fake flower on our hummingbird feeder had something to offer. The hummingbirds just wanted it to go away so they could eat 🪶

Birds! Had a flock of cedar waxwings in the trees, and found a robin sitting in a nest that is, given the way they’re chasing off squirrels, full of eggs 🪶

Weird ass spring snow. I had to go knock it off the branches of some trees so they didn’t break, and now my hat had some extra decoration care of the blooming crabapple

Part of the WIP Inkarnate map for #dnd. Nuclear Semiotics but for dangerous ancient magic - a glowing red obelisk with an inscription that tries to magically translate to the reader’s language: “This is not a place of riches. No treasure is buried here. There is a danger here…”
