Scotland needs to get out of this asylum.

We don't need expensive nuclear power - we need grid stability and energy storage solutions to match our renewables.

When someone says we are going to build Nuclear to 'protect our energy supply' and you find out it will take 20-25 years and cost 10x as much per Watt as Renewable.

Do you not realize it is a scam? 👇🏻

'There’s an emerging consensus that now is the time to be talking about Scotland’s future, the “how” and “why” of independence, and the sort of Scotland it could create. Our Spring Convention fits very neatly into that framework.'

Westminster’s 2018 powergrab of Scottish devolved powers included nuclear waste planning and disposal. I wonder where they’ll want to dump it? Somewhere 'remote', I imagine, with a 'low population'.

If I was SNP's speechwriter, I'd go with something like.. "You can either have a nice Scottish Gov who provide you with good things & try to make Scotland better, or you can have a nasty British racist coalition, who take everything away, & try to make it as shit as it is in England. Your choice!"
I, and many others, have moved on from the attacks on Salmond and Sturgeon. Only the unionists benefit from a fractured Yes movement.
Reform UK will back Labour in Scotland.
Labour are fascist bedfellows it would seem.
A Holyrood majority must be the goal with a reinvigorated SNP and clear message.

“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

It’s not easy and takes constant practice!

I live in Morningside & majority of my neighbours are from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Only 1 of my 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 friends (~30) supported Indy. To New Scots point, most ardent unionists here are 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 tweed loving toffs. So when I read the study, I 🤔 “there’s more than 72%!”We’ll never know. But let’s keep talking & supporting one another.
Granted, some English in Scotland will have said no to Indy, that’s true; but, to claim virtually all of them did,
is pure fiction.
I’ve lived here a long time, the people celebrating the No vote in 2024 in my local pub, were all Scots.

Why does half of Scotland find this acceptable

⚡ Scotland is an energy-rich country - but businesses are being forced to pay the highest prices in the world for using it. Almost every company in Scotland is feeling the pain, from high street retailers to farmers & whisky producers: bit.ly/4eHDHbL
