London: 7°C - Pitlochry: -2°C
Yet the person freezing in Pitlochry pays more for electricity — electricity generated in their own town.
Meanwhile, London, which produces almost none, pays less.
This isn’t just unfair. It’s exploitation. And it’s happening in Scotland every single day.

#RachelReeves Oooh that was a zinger Rachel, admitting in parliament that you are circumventing the devolved government of Scotland. Backroom deals with Sarwar are not the flex you think it is.

Nearly as bad a look as attacking a person unable to respond.

Yet another example of using Scotland's comprehensive statistics in comparison with England's less detailed ones, and using this to push the #Scotland.Is.Bad agenda.

A tactic applied across the board, and amplified by the MSM.

Farage built Brexit, and Brexit broke Britain.

Nigel Farage is the cause of the mess we’re in - not the solution.

I often think about this letter to the New Statesman.

It's from a 1960s Tory, and neatly summarises how British politics has shifted massively to the right, and taken Starmer's Labour party with it.

I’m sick of Westminster politicians blaming migration for their failures.

Immigrants are our NHS staff, our carers, our neighbours. We are a welcoming nation and I’m proud of that.

It’s not migration that pushed down living standards - it’s Brexit, austerity and rising bills.

Energy bills are already too high - yet under Labour, they’re going up again.

They promised lower bills, but today’s hike means bills are £187 higher since they took office.

In energy-rich Scotland, this is indefensible. Only independence can deliver lower bills for good.

Migrants can't answer back.

They have no voice.

So they make the perfect scapegoat for the pent-up rage of the angry, self-loathing far right who can unite around this issue.

In addition it gives the media something to write about in the long summer recess.

That is what is really going on here.

Glasgow was once Europe's murder capital, so the Scottish Government created a taskforce to treat crime as a symptom of poverty and trauma. They offered jobs and support instead of just punishment.

Murder rates dropped by half.
