Upon setting it up, this tree has been described as thicc, girthy, and lots of other words not typically ascribed to Christmas trees. Now that it’s lit, we’re all mildly intimidated. She is all consuming. She is eternal.

Hickory that failed recently during a storm. Tiniest sliver of cambium still intact. Entire canopy is still intact and the trunk has begun to put out adventitious roots where it’s resting on the ground as well.
