I just learned that Illinois law includes something called the Yo-Yo Waterball Sales Prohibition Act, which prohibits sales of "a water yo-yo or a soft, rubber-like ball that is filled with a liquid and is attached to an elastic cord."

Today was an interesting time, for certain Chinese-proverb definitions of that word. My office wound up on the wrong side of a police perimeter this morning as a SWAT team was called in to a house down the block. Blessedly, there were zero fatalities, at least.
