Voting is not going to get us out of this. But voting does hold the line. It doesn't concede the territory. And we can afford to concede anything right now. Go vote.

Every day, the future seems a shorter street, just as the lists of gone acquaintances and things that won't be done again seem longer. Even though this outcome is the one that everybody, surely, was expecting, it appears to always come as a surprise, like snow in February, or long nights in October.

Republicans have full control of the federal government. They only have to do the slightest bit of work to govern, and they can't.They don't want to create policy and systems that better our society. They want to give money to themselves and the richest people in the world and then go home.

These people are frustratingly ignorant. We really need to get rid of the myth of general intelligence. Just because you are great at one thing smdoes it means you are good at everything.
