What's ghoulish this spooky season?
Decision makers speaking to big charities instead of speaking to Deaf and Disabled People's Organisations (DDPOs) and community members.
But you can help shift the balance of power! Support your local DDPO, to make sure that our authentic voices are heard.

Our latest #PowerUpTogether event brought London DDPOs together to learn about intersectionality. We asked:
What can we do in our organisations, to make sure everyone is able to be their full self?
How can we organise in our communities, in light of the recent far right marches?

Thanks to Assembly Member Neil Garratt for raising the issue of the Greater London Authority not having accurate data on accessible housing. Having this information is key to addressing the accessible homes crisis. We’re part of this city and the data should reflect that. #AccessibleHousing

Most councils simply don't have know how many accessible homes they have, how many are needed and whether it is affordable. This needs to change.

To begin tackling the accessible housing crisis, housing providers must collect data to understand the scale of the problem. #AccessibleHomesWeek

Many Disabled people are stuck in hospital, not because they're too unwell to go home, but because their home is not safe.

Building more accessible homes means better lives and better use of the NHS. #AccessibleHomesWeek #HousingCrisis
