Fucking bigots are scared of their own shadow.

Which is fair, because their shadow’s attached to a bigot.

Ooof yeah, very wise!

It must be a lot cooler there because I can’t even look at my knitting right now. Even socks just feel like too much wool to touch.

I was making somen last night and I was able to read the mentsuyu bottle to figure out how much to dilute it and I was so goddamned proud of myself

It’s been such fun to go along on this journey with you! It’s been so great seeing a perspective like yours with just love for the show for what it is.

it is beyond time to see your own complicity in the present moment: when you only mask at protests & never even consider doing so in the grocery store, pharmacy, on public transit, you contribute to a social climate able to criminalize protective tools. CHOOSE SOLIDARITY, prevent infection, mask up.
resist mainstreaming the far right & their ideals with choices you make every day—an easy one is to wear a respirator in, at the very least, public indoor spaces.

needless spread of novel & thought-to-be-gone pathogens has been key to the eugenicists playbook. prevent it.

I find it a bit jarring, but I’m an “the actual sound of the prose” kind of person. I do settle into it after a bit, but for me it takes a little while

Also, AFTER you read…CoT I think…Google “wotfaq” and go the the Steelypips website. You’ll find a meticulously annotated version of what we were talking about in the lead up to KoD. (I don’t THINK it has spoilers past that, because it died shortly after)

One of the things I loved about having the show is it gave fans the chance to theorycraft again.

Same with Hadestown, which was being workshopped far earlier than it went to Broadway. “Why We Build the Wall” as a villain song is chilling

And the RJ got sick and eventually passed and it was heartbreaking. I don’t find the last three books as deeply moving as the first 11, but we’re all profoundly grateful they even exist.

It was wild. The internet was still a bit of a wild west but WoT fans were everywhere, endlessly theorizing while waiting for the next book. A popular forum had signatures filled with which theories you championed.

Hmmm, my first instinct is that there aren’t nearly enough blue tabs there, but it’s been quite awhile. Would love to see what you marked but only once you’re done. (Then what you’d mark as “foreshadowing” on a reread!)
