In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

I would like to suggest that going forward we switch to calling tweets "xcrements".

Spread the word.

I guess the trade war has begun. Just the tip of the iceberg I fear.

My city clear cut these street trees and honestly I had a cry. This street was the highlight of our neighbourhood. I will be waiting with bated breath for the reason given. And meanwhile mourn the huge loss of urban shade, tree canopy and habitat. What are we even doing 😭

We're (🇨🇦) already boycotting American stores and products to send a message, we're calling/emailing our representatives and we're staying informed/not putting our heads in the sand.

So American friends - How else can the average Canadian help you right now?

We weren’t meant to thrive in a fast paced work environment we were meant to collect berries in the summertime and lie down for a whole day after mistaking the bad orange mushroom for the good orange mushroom

Little acts of resistance today:
1. Canceled Netflix. Reason given - other: "We are canceling American subscriptions because of your president"
2. Got a DVD movie out of my local library
3. Mended a threadbare sweater elbow.

If you are married to someone who has ADHD and you don't, here's a phrase that might help you with your spouse: "Map it out for me."

This is what I say to my wife when she goes from one thing to a seeming non sequitur. In her mind, there is a relationship.

If you need to take 10 min to freak out, rage, grieve, scream over what this fascist regime and its tech bro billionaires are doing to us, then take that time. Feel your feelings, take 10 min and flirt with despair. Then reset and get your head in the game. We've got work to do.

Just wondering why no one is talking about the 25% steel & aluminum tarrifs the cheeto just slapped on literally a week after saying we had 30 days before tarrifs would be put in place. It's almost like...he's a liar.
Is everyone really so distracted by football they they're not watching this?

Heads up British Columbians...the conservatives are using the tarrifs as an excuse to push fossil fuel expansion and halt critical electrical infrastructure projects while proposing to also CO2 emissions caps.

Now that we're on bluesky, when are also defecting back to Craigslist or Kijiji? I want to leave Facebook/meta apps completely but marketplace is too valuable for getting used stuff instead of buying new...which will be even more needed as the effects of these tarrifs start to kick in.
