just a nobody from nowhere trying not to be like everybody everywhere
oh, forgot to say that last night I finished my first woven item—a kitchen towel—in almost five years (long story). I think I put on enough warp for nine towels. looking forward to weaving the rest.

in case you were in doubt, this is what the view is like from inside a fascist state. we don’t have time to wait for him to die. we must stand up to the orange idiot and dismantle his gestapo. and remember, mockery, sarcasm, and humor are their kryptonite.

thought I was going to run out and buy an office chair for the new home office, but of course the one I liked has to be ordered. ah well, I guess it just gets moved with everything else. eventually is a good time, right?

okay, convinced now that this is not a second cold, but still the first one on some sort of wretched rebound. I’d heard there was some horrible bug going around that people were fighting for 1-1.5 months, but I was firmly in the nonbeliever camp until it came for my will to live. ugh and ptui

well, first night spent at the new house last night, and woke this morning to find the skylights had leaked. ugh, not the end of the world, but not a great beginning with a place where you’re supposed to be your most relaxed and comfortable
January 3, 2026 at 10:58 PM
seriously, woke up yesterday with the second cold of this month. guess I have to start wearing a mask again when I leave the house. go ahead and stare, bitches, cause I’m not going through this again. if I see your eyes being judgy, I will remove my mask and cough in your face. fucking hell

yikes, well, it’s officially happening—the largest amount of money ever just left my account to fund almost half the amount for our new house. are we done moving yet?

oh, does the giant, orange baby not want us talking about the fact of his dangerous physical decline? okay, that gives us more time to mention his obvious intellectual, moral, and emotional incompetence.

hey, you think he wants to hear about the celebrations we’re going to have when he’s gone?
Trumplethinskin creates his own version of reality & then expects us to believe it as if we don't have eyes, ears or functioning brains.

finished the first book of N.K. Jemisin’s Dreamblood duology. not as appealing to me as her Broken Earth trilogy, but her skill as a writer is always masterful. will dig into book two shortly; reading has slowed down since we’re packing for the pending move.

the inability of most humans to see the truth of this statement will be the downfall of humanity (on the up side, most everything else should survive our demise quite well)

another long day of house hunting, but we have a new contender—full of fear and hope (I’m sure the Germans have a word for that)

yeah baby, southern fried cabbage for lunch—I think I would live quite well in a land that put a high value on cabbage and bacon.

and I love this video; she cracks me up and makes killer food!
