I can't stress this enough: If you use a Hario V60 to brew your coffee, be sure to stir it at least once. Not only does it agitate the grounds for more erosion (i.e. stronger coffee), but it also distributes them to ensure a more even final extraction (i.e. smoother, less bitter coffee)

Every TDoR I think of Jay. My first trans friend, someone I grew to love, and someone I so desperately wish I just asked how he knew he was trans back when I couldn't imagine such a thing for myself. He was a beautiful soul who only wanted the best for others and it always hurts to know he's gone.

At one point last night the crowded party was like 90% trans, and everyone went hard on the show's theme of a utopian cyberpunk future. Everyone looked amazing, the music was so good, and the sheer amount of queerness present made for such a beautiful space I'm so glad I got to be a part of

I've been having a rough, very mental breakdown-y week. But what's kept me afloat through it all has been the love, patience, and support Cupcake and Cassandra shared with me while I've been going through it. They're both such special people to me and I love seeing them be so frickin cute together

Had an intake yesterday with a new therapist who actually specializes in BPD/DBT -- and good god does this sound like everything I've been missing. CBT is great for learning WHY my brain is so screwed up, but it sounds like I'll finally be learning actual techniques to manage my shit as it happens
Coming off a multiple day BPD episode. This shit sucks. Feeling unbearably empty and inadequate with no recourse. Sobbing uncontrollably. Constant dissociation. Unable to take in any positive framing. Constant value judgements against myself that feel damn-near immutable. Thanks, I hate it.
