I was only taken seriously by the hospital and admitted because I collapsed at my fancy job. They didn't know what was wrong with me until like day 3 of 5-7 days in the hospital. But they took care of me and kept me alive. Yet now I'm more sick than then and can't even get help.

It pisses me off that people think if you haven't been admitted into the hospital. That your health emergency must not be that serious or life threatening. No matter how sick I have been. I never get admitted. The only time I was ever admitted was because I had symptoms at work.

After almost 14 hours wait, I've finally got a room & bed in the hospital. I decided to go last night cause my fever kept getting worse and I started to have really bad chest pains. I'm hoping that the doctor will believe me and help me.

People are always quick to invoke the autism defense when someone, 99.9993 percent of the time a white man, does something horrible or says something really gross.
I have never seen anyone invoke that defense for benign autistic traits that creep out NTs, like infodumping.

Among all of the (correct) “autism is not an excuse!” takes, I do want to point out:
There is no widespread issue of #autistic people getting away with stuff because of our autism. It wouldn’t work for most of us. It’s only a handful of rich white dudes who even try it.
