わたしは他者に期待をしていないので、何があっても｢ふーん、そうなのね｣とやり過ごして特にガッカリもしないんだけど、海外文学に関しては特定の訳者に期待してしまう。｢○○さんが自分で選んで訳したのだから｣と。
その信頼感を糧に最初のうちノレなくても必ず最後まで読む。で、大抵の場合｢読んでよかった！｣となる。たとえ面白くないままだとしても、｢自分はまだこの作品に選ばれてないのだな｣と納得する。
それがいいのかどうかはわからないのだけれど、何かを信頼したり期待するということには、自分をかえりみる力を伴わせなければならないのではないかと思ったりする。
その信頼感を糧に最初のうちノレなくても必ず最後まで読む。で、大抵の場合｢読んでよかった！｣となる。たとえ面白くないままだとしても、｢自分はまだこの作品に選ばれてないのだな｣と納得する。

相談できる人がいないなあ。相談って言うと深刻そうだけど、ちょっと愚痴るとかそんな感じの距離感というか、世間話よりすこーし親し目な。家では言えない(トンチンカンな答えが返ってきて余計ムカつく、ただ聞いてくれれば良いけどまあ無理だ)、どっかに書いても微妙。あ、三年日記を買ったんだった。すぐ忘れちゃって穴だらけだ...
