Deportation to Haiti today? I am watching this flight scheduled from Miami (coming from Alexandria LA) to Jamaica. The two deportations to Haiti before December left Jamaica deportation for one in Haiti. Seems likely. Updating here. In the twilight of this Admin. Why? Haiti?

"It’s much easier for the government to render you undocumented than it is to deport you. To deport, they’d have to go through a 2-step process. First, they’d have to strip them of their status. Then they’d have to initiate removal proceedings. The latter process can potentially take years." 2/2

Highly recommended for anyone thinking about what's likely to happen on immigration. One semi-comforting observation on #TPS for Haitians: "there is nothing like that allowing for automatic deportation orders for people who have had their TPS terminated." 1/2

I literally hear white people say “ like Africans, these Haitians can’t self govern “ and “ they got free too early”. Like this is the point y’all. There is no ending of slavery w/o Haiti. What is happening to Haiti is used as an example of what will happen to you if you reject white supremacy.
Like how is it possible that the history books completely erase or diminish such a significant revolution to human history. How Americans know so little about a country 2 hours from FL. At a certain point the ignorance becomes malicious. We’re witnessing the destruction of a people in plain sight.
Honestly… I agree with afropessimism. I know many pan Africans don’t because of its lack of material analysis. But, I think Haiti is the perfect representation of it. A country founded by formerly enslaved Africans constantly being undermined, occupied, invaded out in the open.
