I was today years old when I learnt about the Codex Alimentarius, a document with the title of a spellbook and the contents of a cookbook. It's yellow!

Who am I to judge the worth of TalkSpear, the spear that launches itself into your brain and is slowly removed by a goblin bit by bit daily over several months. TalkSpear is valued at more than a trillion dollars. Some people have come to depend on it! Sure it vibrates your skull to slush, but

Damnit Your Party, please don't fail at the first test of "Do you have the courage of your convictions". I need a left leaning alternative on the social policy stuff as well as foreign and economic!

I got so used to enemies Level Scaling I was unready for the Ghost of the Dispossessed to completely wreck my ass in the mushroom fields. The Night is scary again!

Dr Doom laying out the case against The Superhero Genre specifically and Kings in particular is impassioned, elegant, pointed and persuasive. The fact that he's doing Dark Magic does not undermine it at all, despite what the comic thinks

Starmer's position of "Palestine...but in a months time" is the most Bristish-ass "we don't want to upset anyone, but I'm going to count to 10..." response I'm shocked that France and Germany are on board. Will this mean substantial aid in the next 30 days? Who knows.

I can't believe that The Peacemillionaire isn't a base card in the currently released Gundam TCG. There's more important stuff to be shocked about.

The best thing about listening to a @rangedtouch.bsky.social podcast (especially bonus eps) is the 40mins before they talk about whatever they are supposed to. It's excellent - all criticism exists in context. And this is the podcast that gives you the context in the main show!

I would pay a crisp £50 to watch a @rangedtouch.bsky.social adaptation of a Brandon Sanderson book. A great Patreon spend.

Aren't the characters in Glengarry supposed to be terrible? I've always read the show as being a fairly direct criticism of The Anerican Dream, that makes these men into repulsive creatures in the name of competition - is this too much of a counter-reading?

Will the Nationalisation of a Steel Plant - seemingly to protect employment and a home-grown resource - lead to the promised but as yet unseen nationalisation of Rail and Energy? We can but hope.

Atomfall thoughts;
The very English- there are guns but they're very basic and not really designed for murder- makes combat very tense
The lack of the magic arrow that tells you were to go is, I think, pretty fun!
I do hate the swarms

After playing the opening section of Atomfall, I'm now convinced all enemies should whistle a jaunty tune as they patrol

Seems like making a human rights reports and choosing to not include women, disabled people and LGTBQ+ in it implies a certain perspective on who counts as "human". This is bad, I think.
