Watching everyone pretend that trans people are just blindly unaware of basic biology when in reality we actually have to have the MOST information on biology and our bodies is so infuriating.

This is how I KNOW these mfs don’t pay attention.
And they’re always like, “prove it to me!” A whole white man named Jonathan Metzl wrote a book called Dying of Whiteness, and these mfs wanna read White Fragility instead.
saw someone say right-wingers on SNAP are soon going to have to decide if being racist is worth being hungry, as though the entire mechanism by which fascist populism propagates isn't convincing people to vote for being hungry by enticing them with the chance to be racist

Pay for water, pay for food, pay to park, pay for suitcases on a plane, pay to live, pay to die, pay to spend money, pay to watch, pay to enjoy, pay to relax, pay for every DAMN thing.
Everything costing money will spawn the next iteration of my villain origin story.

Knowing better but having the hardest time doing better is such a curse

It reminds of the disorganized attachment style.

Season 2 of Interview with the Vampire was just beautiful. The hurricane scene. The public execution under the spotlight in the theater. The barren blood in Romania due to the despair of war. Ughhh so good. Can’t wait for the new season now.

Mostly that so many ppl I know (including pretty much all of my family) believe in the rapture, fear hell, and think I'm going. I had forgotten until this moment.

It's actually really fucked up to believe that someone "deserves hell." There can be no love there.

One of my favorite things about reading Sarah Kendzior is that she often makes me more interested in bits of culture I was only vaguely familiar with before. A few weeks ago it was "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", today it's Antonin Dvorak.

This piece is also heartachingly beautiful.
New article! A lot happened this week, so I wrote about how Antonin Dvorak wrote his greatest works in Spillville, Iowa in the summer of 1893.

And about saying goodbye: sarahkendzior.substack.com/p/dvorak-liv...
