Fun characters, and importantly written to be explicitly not human, and the world the inhabit is given enough life and variety to keep it interesting, not least in the amount of species present. While long, I found myself reading it in long stretches, and didn't get tired. Easy recommend :>

'Enter Neo-Tenochtitlan'. The gateway into the city, protected by the God of Death.

Aztec/Mayan Futurism + Spanish Colonial slum. All while being semi-abstract. It's a hard edge to walk. Some concepts are more successful than others. This is one of the first environment concepts I did.
