During the reporting period 88 additional survivors benefitted from the mental health and psychosocial support services, bringing the total number to 652 since the establishment of the IAPB.

🤝We strengthened cooperation with the UN Group of Independent Experts on Human Rights in Belarus, providing over 1,500 files of interview transcripts and supporting materials.

 We filed a submission following Lithuania’s referral of the situation in Belarus to the ICC, addressing potential crimes against humanity, and supported prosecutors in two jurisdictions.

We collected vital evidence to support judicial investigations — including 76new witness testimonies. Our databases reached 30,000+ witness-related documents, and 1.5 million open-source record.

Press freedom and legal representation were severely curtailed, with 41 journalists imprisoned and at least five lawyers disbarred.

In January, Aleksandr Lukashenko secured a seventh term in a presidential election, amid widespread allegations of electoral fraud and political repression.

Repression intensified, with almost 3,000 politically motivated arrests & trials. Over 1,200 political prisoners remain detained, some in inhumane conditions, including human rights defenders Ales Bialiatski, Valiantsin Stefanovic, Uladzimir Labkovich, Maria Rabkova, Andrei Chapiuk & Nasta Loika.
