@mst3kofficial.bsky.social Rewatching the City Limits episode, and recognized an actor in the movie, Don Opper aka Charlie of the Critters franchise. This guy. He went from City Limits to appearing in a movie often called a Gremlins rip-off, despite being developed at the same time.

@thehorrorguru.bsky.social Hey Josh, check out what I now have on UHD\Blu-Ray. And yes, the case the set is in...is made of wool.

@brianzane.bsky.social Brian, watched your Capital Combat video and it reminded me of a behind the scenes Robocop story, for Robocop 3, Orion apparently decided rather than make a new suit for Robert John Burke, they had him wear one of Peter Weller's old suits...which barely fit him.

Well, looked into it, yeah, The Mummy is represented at Dark Universe (the area at Epic Universe, not the failed shared universe) and it's meant to be Imhotep (1932 Imhotep, the 1999 version already has a ride at the Studio park), so technically Karloff is represented twice.

@thehorrorguru.bsky.social I am enjoying this years horror marathon a lot, since it's allowing me to play catch up with a lot of movies I missed.

Just watched Clown in a Cornfield, pretty good slasher film. Hope we see adaptations of Frendo Lives and The Church of Frendo eventually.

@thehorrorguru.bsky.social Watching V/H/S/Halloween, it's pretty good.

Although, the guys in the orange jumpsuits in the wraparound segment are giving me "D-Class" vibes.

I had no idea @cheramileigh.bsky.social was in The Mist. It's one of my favorite Stephen King movies...so learning a future anime dub actress is in one of my fave movies...pretty cool

@cctakato.bsky.social Well, learned something new about Dark Universe (the area at Epic Universe themed to the Universal Monsters, not the failed shared universe reboot of them), apparently the whole area or just the rides...is scored by Danny friggin' Elfman!

@joeramoni.bsky.social Rewatched your video on The Cherokee Kid, and well, there's a weird coincidence in you mentioning The Magnificent Seven in it...James Coburn (who's in The Cherokee Kid) was in The Magnificent Seven.

Also, btw, his last name is pronounced Coe-Burn.

@therealjims.bsky.social Well, I have watched a movie from the pile of "The Simpsons didn't make this up?" pile, guess what, it's not as bad as it's reputation makes it sound, but it's also nothing like the parody, and the real thing would disturb Bart and Homer for it's plot, not the musical thing

Happy birthday to @alexwinter.com

So, they aren't Mammoth WVH anymore, just Mammoth. Don't care, the fact it's all one guy (Wolfgang Van Halen) doing all of it and the fact the music is likely what Cherone era VH should've sounded like. *chef's kiss*

@therealjims.bsky.social You admit in the "Bart's Comet" video to liking apocalyptic fiction, but does that extend into post-apocalyptic fiction?
May 3, 2025 at 3:12 PM
@linkara.bsky.social Seeing how you reviewed the first 3, thought you might find this cool or somewhat intriguing...this is my new Blu-Ray boxset of the Hell House LLC movies. Yes, there are physical copies of them, thanks to Australia's Umbrella Entertainment.

@therealjims.bsky.social Rewatched your Gil video, and well, since you seem to like Jack Lemmon, might interest you to know I recently purchased Blu-Rays of four of the movies he did with the legendary Billy Wilder.
April 13, 2025 at 11:34 AM
@therealjims.bsky.social Since you mentioned The War of the Worlds parody from Treehouse of Horror XVII, well, get ready to hear something that sounds like I'm trolling you, were you aware there was a rock opera adaptation of H.G. Wells' novel?

@devonsawa.bsky.social Just re-watched (and in two cases, watched for the first time) your old Final Destination co-star, the late Tony Todd, in the role that made him a horror icon. Re-watched the original Candyman and for the first time, watched 2 and 3.

@jasonritter.bsky.social Let me be the first on Blue Sky to say this: Welcome to the DCU, Jason.

@thehorrorguru.bsky.social I saw Longlegs finally...I was creeped out the whole time.

Also, apparently, Oz Perkins is Anthony Perkins' son...heck, he plays a young Norman in Psycho II.

@jamesgunn.bsky.social Just rewatched Slither for the first time in years, I have to say James, it still holds up.

@thehorrorguru.bsky.social Occurred to me, a character on She-Hulk with the last name Blaze mentions a cousin Johnny....I wonder who he was referring to...yep...flaming skull head is a part of the MCU. (Not counting Agents of SHIELD, that show's canonicity is dubious)
February 10, 2025 at 1:27 PM
@thehorrorguru.bsky.social Well, this is a remake I had no idea was happening.
February 8, 2025 at 1:47 PM
@cctakato.bsky.social I realize that the guys surrounding then 20th Century Fox head Alan Ladd must've thought he was nuts to greenlight these two movies...believing they would bomb. Especially the second one, since it took so long, Ladd was gone mid-production.

@thehorrorguru.bsky.social So, Matthew Lillard has been confirmed to be in Scream 7...so, this means it is official, Stu Macher is back.

Fitting that Sidney's final chapter will feature one of the men who began the whole story.
