So, a move shot by a US crew in India, post production by UK creatives logged on to US servers, delivered on Thai Netflix using a global CDN to a VPN IP address in France used by a consumer in the US. What tariff applies to that, exactly?

Sorry, Kamala, but "the president lied about gas prices" is likely to be a much more effective line than the one about a constitutional crisis when it comes to winning back the people you need onside

Dodds is right that the Government should discuss its approach to taxation. It should tax the rich.

Instead, the Government has self-imposed restraints that have lead them to decimate assistance for the world's poorest - those experience famine, conflict, disaster and disease.
Terrific resignation letter by Anneliese Dodds, this.

More cuts? Not on our watch.

The lives of the super rich wouldn't be impacted by a wealth tax, they would just have less to invest, but the lives of everyone, every day, are impacted by the services we rely on - our schools, NHS, councils, welfare, childcare, etc.

The government may be planning to cut public services. But there is an alternative
The government is looking at cutting public spending and potentially raising taxes in March.

The Treasury Department right now. People are turning out against Musk and DOGE staging a takeover of the Treasury’s payment system. This crowd is big. The whole block is packed. “Lock him up,” everyone yells.

I appreciate much of the analysis I’ve seen over the last couple days. I don’t think we can talk about what is sick in politics or media (a lot!) w/o looking directly at billionaires, refusing to shut up about billionaires, and coming for billionaires through policies that chisel away at their power
American billionaires have long placed their thumbs on the scale of democracy—but never like this.
Welcome to the oligarch election.
