Ahh yes .. first world disappointment. Spring growth and not enough batteries for the mower.
A nice green lawn. To the right a slightly paler green of some freshly cut grass, to the left some rich green grass that the yellow mower in the top left gave up on.

Sort of a waste of a sunny morning, but the day after Monarch Monday is my anniversary (2 years) at my current job, a wee treat for them for putting up with me.
The background is a light speckled bench top. To the left is a tray of 9 sweet muffins (walnut and dark chocolate) still in their coloured cups. Because the tray wasn't large enough there are another 3 on a light coloured tea towel. Behind those and continuing to the right are some dark tan ANZAC biscuits, flat and textured (it's the rolled oats that give it texture). For those interested they are nice and chewy.

An appropriate bandaid and finger for the anti-woke bullshit coming from this government.
A pink unicorn bandaid at the end of the middle finger, doing the things that middle fingers do. The wearer of said bandaid and owner of the fingers is (as well as being an opinionated middle aged white male) wearing a dark navy sweatshirt.

With my first feijoa bloom, I'm calling it .. .. summer is here!
Front and centre are the white edged red petals of the feijoa blossom. From the middle of that are the red stamens with yellow tips. The blossom is framed to the right with the thin brown branch and to the left the dark green leaves. Through the branches and leaves, out of focus, is the lighter green lawn. Scents of freshly mowed lawn and grapefruit (next tree along) linger in the breeze.

It is Te Wiki o te Reo Māori.

I have had so many bouts of good intentions to start learning #TeReoMāori, but I do find it a struggle. Will I use this week as the kick in the butt to start again? I do hope so.

Pure bliss, Magnolia season.

I am assuming that these lovely coloured mushrooms(?) are not an optimal companion plant for an indoor coffee plant?
Looking down at an angle at 4 yellow mushrooms(/toadstools?) In a cluster of 3 and a single. They are in a terracotta pot with black soil and some brown (and a green) fallen leaves. You can also see the thin brown trunk of the coffee tree. The pot is on a light brown carpet with a faint pink wallpaper.

I made some marmalade this afternoon!
4 glass jars of marmalade - a dark orange with the paler bits of skin towards the top of each jar. The front two squatter jars have copperish, the two taller, thing jars towads the back have black lids. They are sitting on a folded green and white checker tea towel. In the background are a grapefruit and lemon (both yellow). Everything is resting on a specked bench top.

Dressing up for halloween: suit and tie, stuck in a ms teams standup using a windows laptop. Didn't consider my plan to work from home today, so completely missed adding the horror of an open plan office.

People on this mornings 6:20am train from #Taita and those walking along Featherson and Willis St, the chain on my partner's beautiful gold pendant from her mum broke at some point this morning. Please keep an eye out for it.

Went out for a walk in the sun. Came back and just the green and pink and blue and white .. Magic, just magic.
