Sitting on the train without a jacket on. Feeling somewhat underdressed.

Imagine how 'naked' I will feel when we get to t-shirt weather!

The problem with being useless sellouts is that even if you're subtly teasing incrementalism, no-one trusts you to follow through.

So I'll be voting for an actual wealth tax, to whack the rich and get real money. Labour's CGT can be a transitional tool, but I want real tax.

That was quick. Didn't expect to be back in Christchurch so soon .. about 2 hours with a bumpy attempt at landing in Wellington in between.

Oh FFS @chrishipkins.bsky.social you know you are going to need @tepaatimaori.bsky.social (and @nzgreenparty.bsky.social) to form a government to get rid of the current clowns. You need to help lift them up not find ways to shit on them.

Ahh that sweet sweet satisfaction of getting the lawn mowed before the 2nd battery runs out*

(*) mainly because I did that last back section on 4** instead of 3.

(**) can't leave it too long before the next mow.

Luxon and Jones have blocked a massive new offshore wind electricity generation project off Taranaki. They fast tracked seabed mining in the same place resulting in two offshore wind companies leaving NZ.

What a gorgeous morning. Got to see the sun rise, wander along the waterfront, see the seal sunning themselves, land on my butt after slipping on an icy patch of wood while crossing the lagoon.
