Went back to playing Clash Royale after a few years off just to have another distraction from doomscrolling.

Also planning to start doodling to avoid screens. Haven’t drawn for fun since age 9.

Ah, the state of the world.

Been aware of things like this for a while, but I think this is the time to actually put in the effort to make it happen.

Not that I’m overly reliant on any tech company atm, but makes sense to make the exposure even smaller.

Ok, I’ve been converted to this whole Claude Sonnet 3.5 thing being the best option for AI help in programming related things.

Really good structure and explanations time after time, also way better at spotting errors than GPT-4o.

Gotta say, these linked lists, red-black binary trees etc are quite a challenge to grasp.

Doodling around without pressure to complete anything seems to be the best way to complete something.

Why do I need to relearn this ever so often.

I just discovered a handy feature on something that I’ve owned for a while which was probably clearly explained in the instructions I didn’t read.

I will learn nothing from this.

Have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised how good boot.dev has been. Started it a few days after Christmas and now I have an uninterrupted 27 day programming streak.

I’ve been more of a “I can hack something together” -type of programmer before, now feeling I’m actually leveling up.

Open source AI needs to win out. If AI is controlled by a few oligarchs, the world is headed for disaster.
