So much of this. "Body positivity" is also often co-opted by people who comparatively don't need it to begin with. Not to say, non-fat folks don't experience body issues because, of course, they do. There's just obviously limits to acceptability in said movement, which defeats the purpose.
the reason I'm not interested in what skinny people who've always been skinny have to say about fat people or anything to do with weight or weight loss is that they have no reference point for what it feels like to exist in a body that people have a visceral disgust reaction to. sit down. shut up.
