The UK Supreme Court ruling was so unpopular that central London just ground to a complete standstill and a static protest had to become a march to St James' Park for crowd safety reasons!

I was stood at the entrance to the park for an hour and the march itself was still flooding in!

Yes, it is fair.

Because there are other ways of producing the timber we need *without* burying 10% of Ireland under deadzones that are disastrous for nature, the climate, and local communities.
The commercial Forests are crops, they're not supposed to be wildlife reserves. If there wasn't commercial forests, the land owner would be raising cattle, or growing something else commercially. Is it fair to target these over barley or silage?

I will never forget the photo of Zelenskyy’s face after he saw Russia’s war crimes in Bucha in 2022. He seemed to age years in an afternoon. Watching him constantly cross the world asking for aid that should have been thrown at him is one of the deepest shames of our age.

Finally.

A major media outlet has finally reported on Trump’s total travel ban for transgender visa applicants seeking the United States.

I had to scream for two days to get someone else to report on it.

It is NOT just for athletes.

Amanda Pritchard wanted more private finance in the NHS.

The NHS repairs backlog of £13.8bn is dwarfed by the £44bn still owed on PFI contracts.

PFI has been a disaster and the new NHS boss, James Mackey, must rule out any new private finance.

The CCC suggests that benefits from the move to net zero in aggregate will outweigh the costs.

Its estimates suggest that, from 2026, net zero should show up as a net positive on average household expenses.

The reporting on the trans travel visa ban is criminal.

It does NOT only affect transgender athletes.

The cables CLEARLY say it affects all trans people. They can reject visas on point 6 of anyone who is requesting a visa that does not match their assigned sex at birth.

Universities stayed quiet as the admin targeted DEI & foreign aid, censored research, etc.

Now, they face devastating cuts to indirect cost rates, threatening research & operations.
