Possibly one of the best ways to say management is non-technical and doesn't understand the domain or the problem
Buried within this piece is probably the most damning part of any AI hiring story I've ever read: despite all of this incredible hiring with all of this money sloshing around, even the big labs don't even know what specialties actually help make the models better. Amazing!

Hahahahahaha

Is she still telling people to build technical moats whilst building a business fully dependent on a vastly unprofitable platform?
There’s a lot of questions what the future with AI coding tools will look like.

One possibility:

Techies creating new, profitable businesses that were unimaginable before: like a tool to create standout PRDs (a core thing for many PMs)

From side project to a profitable startup with employees:

And watch them drop out of Europe early, come 7th, not a trophy in sight, and then wonder how switching from a serial winner to a serial non-winner didn't work out
Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Brentford as they seek to appoint Thomas Frank as head coach — and the north London side hope to reach an agreement in the next 48 hours.

Lol
If anyone tries to tell you Ange is the worst manager we've ever had, give them this. Despite the injuries and lack of squad depth, he still ranks among the best of our managers who lasted more than 100 games. And he won us a European Trophy. Legend.

Yuuuuuup
I have a strong feeling generative AI is going to end up like crypto. Ethically questionable, solves a narrow set of problems, lots of broken promises that don’t live up to the hype and yet a bunch of people get incredibly rich along the way.

He'll probably be fine. Hahaha
Bayer Leverkusen have appointed Erik ten Hag as their new head coach to replace Xabi Alonso.

The former Manchester United and Ajax boss has signed a two-year contract with the Bundesliga side.

Ten Hag has been out of work since his sacking by Manchester United in October and has signed a deal until 2027.

How is anyone surprised by this???
So not only did our former chair seem to use her position to exert undue influence on the ABC due to lobbying campaign. But she also spent thousands of taxpayer dollars using luxury limousines to get to fancy lunches. And she says she’s above the rules applied to the rest of us.

Lol. Lmao
Except I asked AI (just the bog standard Co-Pilot that comes with Windows) and it said.

I really don't know that you can read much more into this result than a complete repudiation of Dutton (and Trump by proxy).

Everyone really is trying to say it's more
May 3, 2025 at 12:35 PM
So...

You know how they were trying to say you just have to get to know Dutton

Well it seems like people finally tried over the election campaign, and they really didn't like what they saw

It was a massive dive. Potter is a sook

@7ampodcast.com.au obviously did absolutely zero background before asking her on to be a massive hypocrite
Kara Swisher is a cretinous, deceitful tech booster attempting to rewrite history, pretending that she didn't deliberately elevate tech executives like Elon Musk right up until the last minute. A truly grotesque figure

So helpful to post the photo of other people that are obviously not good enough too
Sir Jim Ratcliffe believes some players at Manchester United are “not good enough” and “probably are overpaid”.

A number of the United squad have come in for criticism this season during a disappointing run which has left the side 14th in the Premier League table.

Also that surely someone so dumb and self-interested can't be out-smarting them. Surely
It's just, our center-left elite *needs* a clever, principled counterpart, so they can cling to the core delusion that words & analysis are the coin of the realm. Anything but confronting the brute fact that now is the time for courage rather than cleverness.

He's always been like this, why is anyone surprised? He genuinely has 2-3 clear yellow card moments every time I've seen him play
A moment of madness from Anthony Gordon earns him a straight red card.

The Newcastle United forward is set to miss the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.

And no surprise. Young is a massive, massive diver and has had a rep for years now.
Everton were denied a stoppage time penalty at Goodison Park after Ashley Young was upended by a combination of Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire.

Referee Andrew Madley originally awarded a penalty, but after an intervention from the VAR, he was sent to the screen and changed his mind.

Very much feel Arteta is fully at fault here, leaving an 18 year old 1v1 like this
Arsenal are down to 10 men for the fifth time this season.

Myles Lewis-Skelly was perhaps unfortunate to be sent off against Wolves, but following a VAR intervention, he is given his marching orders again for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity after Mohammed Kudus caught him in possession.
