So even though I feel like this game was worth the wait and it was a better sequel to it's predecessor than TotK it's hard for me to outright recommend a game that has quite a lot of challenge to it especially early on, but for $20 I consider it a steal. This is peak in the Metroidvania genre.

The tools you have access in this game can make a lot of challenges in this game much easier, but specifically the red tools use a separate currency which means if you run out after multiple boss attempts you have to grind enemies which makes me conflicted whether it was a good limit to have.

Despite my enjoyment of the game it still does a lot of things that I personally find funny like very long boss runbacks, hidden areas that don't have a crazy good reward, and a bunch of traps! I also thought I would miss the charms from Hollow Knight, but they got replaced with a much better system

I can't think of a worse way to announce industry layoffs than this. Wow. Honestly makes me regret enjoying Hyper Light Drifter the way that I did. Disgusting.

Loved Luigi's Mansion 3, but having to backtrack to an older area I already went through because a ghost cat stole one of my elevator buttons was not fun and just felt like the devs were stretching out the length of the game. Worst of all it happens at least twice.

DLC for Silksong when?

At first you struggle to get out of the first area, but as you learn what works well early in a run, the perks that stack with your items, and the Nubby Cafe you will eventually become a Nubby Number master! The unlockable characters are also all very unique and different from each other.
