This clip from Question Time during the 2019 General Election is regularly on my mind because the angry confidence of this man to wrongly assert he's not even making average income despite being in the Top 5% of earners is staggering. In his mind, he's a working class hero, not definitionally rich.

The Hamas attack on October 7 was a horrendous crime against humanity. But the only relationship between it and the even greater crimes against humanity being perpetrated in Gaza today is that it is being used as an excuse for what certain Israeli ministers and generals have long wanted to do.

Thank goodness we don't have a Reform government
Watch as an activist is arrested in Glasgow for displaying a sign reading 'genocide in Palestine, time to take action'

'We're not terrorists', he said as he was taken away by police

I thought only the "hard left" was supposed to do Stalinism like this 🤔 Looking forward to an important discussion about how much of a threat this is to democracy

I always like to point out that the English ruling class invited a Dutch king to invade their country with his army, so that he could elevate them to prominence by force. And then they set about battering fuck out of everyone who said that was suspect. That’s England for you, ladies and gents.

I think this is the exact intention. The job of the labour party is to keep the left in control and kill hope things can be better. They failed to control the left for a while, so it had to be ruthlessly crushed. Now we're here
Every day I ask myself: what the hell is happening in Starmer's inner circle? It seems determined to stamp out every spark of hope.

It's 3 years today since Shell was given the go-ahead to drill for new gas at Jackdaw field. It was later ruled unlawful, but self-styled "green" chancellor Rachel Reeves made clear she doesn't care 👇

Most recent elections yielded governments who were clear that they were ok with genocide, but we still voted for them.

The least we can now do is to try to persuade them make it stop. Speak up!

Be honest, straightforward, and improve people's lives. I'm in! Seems obvious but alas a surprisingly difficult concept for too many in politics to grasp.

You win more Green MPs, you grow support for the party, by being absolutely clear about what we stand for.

The climate crisis is not one made up just of carbon. But of corporate power.

We need to win many more MPs & boldly take on vested interests.
