It wasn't pretty, but the Texans match their franchise best 12 wins in a season (2012), win nine straight to close out the year, and have clinched the #5 seed in the AFC.

The only clinches left are the AFC North winner (Steelers/Ravens), the NFC South winner (Panthers/Buccaneers), and the 7th wild card spots for both conferences (Texans/Colts in the AFC, Packers/Lions in the NFC).

Through his first 12 games of 2025, Jose Altuve has -5 DRS and +2 OAA. Both Fangraphs (using UZR and wRC) and Baseball Reference (using DRS and Rbat) agree he's produced 4 runs of offense so far, but due to the wildly different defensive values, he has 0.7 fWAR and 0.1 bWAR so far.
