I'm guessing it's the 1st priority for Dept of Defense in Project 2025: threatening and silencing the top brass.

Generals/admirals will be told they will be charged with treason if they tell those they command to disregard illegal orders (as if that's a partisan, political position.)

The hippie motto "Don't trust anyone over 30" [years old] was created in 1964. Anyone over 90 yo today was *at least* 29 in 1964.

Jack Weinberg, who coined the phrase, is only 85. Sorry, Stephen Miller, your math doesn't math.

This Civil War veteran, stepping up to give a rebel yell, called his fellow Confederate soldiers "Confeds" and I think I'll start using that word for the many outlaws in the Trump regime.

The question is, which is to be master?
The law? Or the whims of a madman? That's all.

Can I just point out that this govt that gave less than 24 hours' notice before flying men to South Sudan/Djibouti, and gave no meaningful advance notice to others it disappeared, wants 48 HOURS to notify Cristian's attorneys that he's back on US soil?

Why? To deny due process? A Noem PR event?

How does one explain "completely blessing Defendants’ violation" these days?
June 24, 2025 at 7:25 PM
It may be petty, but this is just embarrasing: how did Drew Ensign write that Erez Reuveni is "a top notched litigator" when praising him?

Reuveni's a top-notch whistleblower now, Drew.

Nope, he doesn't.

Denial of 1st Am rights is a fed claim. He'll invoke George Anastaplo (UChi Law), denied admission to IL Bar during red scare. SCOTUS affirmed.

George was a patriot and was right. Years later, IL tried to make amends by admitting him (he said no.)

John will try to appropriate George's glory.

Looks like the sheriff's deputy took a picture of the vehicle registration here with his own cell. (Strange how the black box shimmies here, strategically covering his fingers.) Did he post this image, with the car details, to ICE on Signal?

And the family's car was impounded and is still missing?

The judge calls out Florida AG James Uthmeier as an inexperienced newbie whose hyperbolic, chest-thumping words can't be taken at face value - in an elegant footnote, of course.

(And I'd bet Uthmeier thinks himself well qualified, but that Judge Williams is a DEI hire.)

May 21 Order: "Each individual [held in Djibouti] must be afforded access to counsel that is commensurate with the access that they would have received had these procedures occurred within the US."

3 weeks later, DHS still inching toward providing detainees with access to lawyers. Is this standard?

Among presidents, Trump will be remembered as an amoral divider who enjoyed rubbing salt into the nation's wounds.

After throwing his own wife under the bus (hey, maybe she posted the kiddie porn!), he blew her a kiss 🤡.

He appeared in court wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I assume she could have brought him decent clothes for his arraignment, IF she wanted to. 👑

John Eastman update: Review Dept. affirms Judge Roland's ruling and finds disbarment "necessary."

DHS withdraws its motion to quash as the parties file a jointly agreed-upon revised discovery schedule. ⁉️

DHS has more time to answer and produce docs, but still plans to fight subpoenas to DoD officials. DHS also notes that it's still figuring out who at DHS knows what happened. 🤷‍♀️

Abrego Garcia's request for sanctions for govt's willful noncompliance w Discovery Orders includes:

•review devices of Bondi + [others] p22 😎
•personal sanctions against Joseph Mazzara p25 🔥
•monetary sanctions against govt attorneys personally p24 🎉
•fines or imprisonment for civil contempt p25 🚨
June 12, 2025 at 12:51 PM
Abrego Garcia's motion for discovery sanctions will likely have to be filed under seal, but it's not yet on the docket at all.

Will it be filed by midnight?
June 12, 2025 at 2:35 AM
If so, and the project started in September 2020, then it started under Trump.
June 11, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Careful with use of present tense.

DHS's Djibouti update pursuant to 5/21 Order:

ICE ERO "have provided" atty contact info ✔️
but "will provide" access to phones ✔️(ish)

More significantly, no mention of:

Access to an interpreter ❌
Technology for the confidential transfer of documents ❌

In its request to stay impending discovery deadlines, DHS claims that it has completely complied with her preliminary injunction, now that Abrego Garcia is back in the US facing felony charges.

It's doubtful that the court will agree.
June 10, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Upon returning Abrego Garcia, DHS asked Judge Xinis to stay all deadlines because his case was moot. She hasn't yet ruled on that request.

Today, DHS asked her again.

Kilmar's lawyers have until tomorrow, June 11, to file for sanctions for DHS's continuing discovery violations. 👀

from Abrego Garcia v. Noem, April 4 hearing

THE COURT: Well, in what -- what basis is he held in CECOT? And I hope I'm saying that right. But what basis is he held? Why is he there of all places?

MR. REUVENI: This is where I'm going to respond in a frustrating way: I don't know.
