Can I just point out that this govt that gave less than 24 hours' notice before flying men to South Sudan/Djibouti, and gave no meaningful advance notice to others it disappeared, wants 48 HOURS to notify Cristian's attorneys that he's back on US soil?

As a threshold matter, the Court finds this request for a stay perplexing. The order
remedying Defendants’ violation of the Preliminary Injunction is as flexible as possible, leaving

As you know, Erez is a top notched litigator who has taken on some of OIL's most challenging cases over the past nearly 15 years. Before that time, he served as a law clerk for Judge Jon O. Newman on the Second Circuit and in private practice. ![Upon our independent review (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 9.12), we reject Eastman’s First
Amendment defenses and his various due process claims. We find Eastman is culpable on all
counts of misconduct, except count eleven. We further find Eastman’s conduct in counts five
and seven was intentional. We affirm the hearing judge’s mitigation and aggravation findings,
except we find less weight for Eastman’s absence of a prior record of discipline. The record
does not support aggravation for significant harm as argued by OCTC. Due to the serious nature
and extent of Eastman’s misconduct and the weight of aggravating circumstances in relation to
mitigation, we recommend that Eastman be disbarred. Disbarment is necessary to protect the
public, the courts, and the legal profession.
