Yes, I love that!! And as far as ppl learning asl, I think it should almost be the same approach that speech pathologists take when teaching nonverbal students? Like they specify "core words" & teach those explicitly including the sign. it encompasses such a large part of communicative language

Ooohh lookit you! I love this! I know a lot of ASL from teaching special ed but it'd be good to branch out to un-education/child-related signs lol. Like what's the sign for patriarchy 😭 (rhetorical i can look it up ik it's nobody's job to teach me 😤)
