Ah crap, acknowledging it ruins it! What have I done? Thank god nobody will read this far down the thread, it’s too meta even for me and I’m the reason it even exists. If it even does. Oh no! We’re back on topic but still meta!!!

Also, I sometimes lie on here for jokes, but also sometimes because a metaphor pops into my head and I need to use it. This is kind of both. Ok, I’ve dropped the curtain enough, back to the kayfabe, or what have you, that allows me to claim plausible deniability for my posts.

Anyway, I’m in the disbelieve existence camp. This shit makes no sense and I refuse to believe we exist. But I like it when other people grab that invisible rope and jump off the ledge of knowing into the pit of belief. I tend to think the reason they survive is that nothing’s real, but it’s neat!

There is definitely more than we can prove. Science has gaps in explaining the origins of existence, for example. Acknowledging that truth implies the necessity of some kind of faith, but not a lack of belief in science. Or you can disbelieve the reality of existence. Those are the choices I think.

It’s actually great when people are spiritual but not into organized religion. They do believe in something that can’t be proven, they just like that the people that might agree with them have never come together and talked it out. The only true faith is in disorganized religion. I love it.

I mean, I think you’re right, and it’s better than nothing. But we are so far behind, and I want raccoodles and 101 raccoolmations. Or whatever we’d call different breeds. Not crossed with dogs. Unless…

I used to know what counted as foundational text, but then they changed what foundational text was. And now I’m using foundational text, and what’s not foundational text seems weird and scary to me.
