Personally, I think it works better as a thin crust pie, but it was great as a pan pizza too.

Admittedly, I can see it working in certain applications. And really my distaste for it boils down to not liking ricotta very much. But some people, mostly home cooks on r/pizza, just hose it on their pies and I just cannot fathom the ratios working or being enjoyable to eat.
