The passive voice in English is often used

“when we prefer not to mention who or what does the action (for example, it's not known, it's obvious or we don't want to say)”,

e.g, a person killed five people with a gun in Fall City on Monday.

In the passive voice it sounds like this:
Five people were found dead inside a home Monday morning in Fall City, Washington, after an incident involving gunfire, officials said.

Two adults and three school-age children were found dead, and a teenager was taken into custody.
Teenager taken into custody after 5 killed in Washington state shooting
Two adults and three school-age children were found dead inside a home east of Seattle. Another teenager was injured, the King County Sheriff’s Office said.
