Star Trek The Next Generation scene. The title card of the Voyager episode, "Infinite Regress," close in on the hero ship. The ship is flying through totally empty space; the only points of light on the screen are the rooms where the crew can be found, and if that's not a metaphor for what it's going to take to get back "home" I don't know what is.
