It served its purpose fully, admirably and with honor. Fortunately Santa was thinking ahead and delivered a new one as an early Christmas present! @batorbalm.bsky.social

Rock Hudson was born on this day 100 years ago.
He was the epitome of the handsome, seemingly hetero, Hollywood star.
AIDS outed him and killed him.
He died in 1985, aged 59.
His death shocked the world. For many, he was the first person they knew of to die as a result of HIV.

I doubt I could overstate the impact of the 2014 Lammys on my reading over the last decade. I count at least 20 authors whose work I first encountered through that slate of finalists! @lambdaliterary.org

I like fantasy. I like romance. I like them combined a lot, in urban, dark, historical, or cozy modes. But the romantasy marketing trend is missing its target with me by seven leagues.

Superman was fun, but the post credits scene should've been Guy Gardner getting his hair cut.

Inadvertently eavesdropping on this guy’s phone conversation (because some people have no indoor voice) and wow! just a non-stop stream of evangelical jargon and fragments of scripture. A deliberate linguistic barricade separating Us from Them.
