I haven’t been on here much and I really cannot cope with politics on top of… life… right now. Anyone want to discuss how Daredevil Born Again’s differences chafe in many ways, and specifically how Matt’s “nicer” wardrobe looks worse & how leaving Hell’s Kitchen is a metaphor for moving to Disney?

So, my sister and I have guardianship of my dad. He’s in assisted living now but wants nothing more than to live at home again. At some point in the next several months I’ll be moving into the house so I can stay with him and provide necessary assistance with ADLs.

In other stressful news, the lawyer helping us deal with stuff for my dad is giving the rudest and least helpful replies possible. But we can’t afford a better lawyer—the retainer for two lawyers I’ve spoken to in the area who specialize in this stuff was $5k. If only I had made better choices…

This student loan situation is a mess so, even though I know I’ve checked it multiple times over the past few years, I’d really like to see what my student loan payments will be when income-based plans are no longer an option. Unfortunately trying to access nelnet.studentaid.gov I get a blank page.

Am I a bad New Englander or great New Englander? This is my second winter back and I still haven’t bought a snow scraper. I just traipsed outside, no coat, wearing my slippers, to wipe to snow off my car with my hoodie sleeves so I could move it. We only got 4.5 inches 🤷♀️

Honestly, jokes aside. Working right now feels like an extreme sport. When nihilism abounds… does “work” actually matter?!? I want collective naps, daytime dance parties and gatherings where we scream, cry, laugh and hold each other… not emails and meetings that begin with “how are you?”!

It’s been hitting me hard this week that I work for a fintech company that supports the PE and VC industries etc. The exact opposite of what I truly believe to be ethical. I and all my coworkers are complicit in this bs. But I have bills to pay and family to support. And job seeking is abysmal.

Hi everyone out there. Just introducing myself and my dog Hubble, in matching pjs to cope with the cold (New England electricity is too expensive) and the crumbling of our democracy. Nice to meet y’all.
