Reading the comments to FB posts about the LA fires brings two thoughts to mind:

First, remember when we were told that access to all the information on the Internet would make everyone better informed and smarter? Definitely a big nope on that one.

Ironic that Washington Post's tag line is "Democracy Dies in Darkness" yet has a paywall on #lafires articles that could save lives and educate.
